DPWH building 23 quarantine facilities in NCR by month-end

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is constructing 23 additional quarantine facilities in Metro Manila to be completed by the end of August.

These new facilities are being fast-tracked due to the high bed occupancy rate in NCR hospitals, which has surpassed 70 percent.

Eight facilities will be located in Quezon City with a total capacity of 2,417 beds across various cities including Pasay, Pateros, Manila, Marikina, Parañaque, Makati, Valenzuela, Caloocan, Muntinlupa, Malabon, and Navotas.
