DOTr ready for Undas with 'Oplan Biyaheng Ayos'

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced Monday that it is prepared for the expected increase in passenger traffic during All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day this week.

Secretary Jaime Bautista stated that transport agencies have made all necessary preparations, including the Philippine Coast Guard's support, to ensure smooth travel.

Bautista emphasized that the DOTr implements 'Oplan Biyaheng Ayos' each year to facilitate safe transportation for travelers during Undas (All Saints' Day), with around four million passengers expected this week.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board granted special permits to at least 1,200 public buses and utility vehicles to accommodate the influx of passengers.

Malacañang has declared November 1 and 2 as special non-working days to facilitate travel for these holidays.
