DOTr raises PUV capacity to 70% starting Nov 4

Starting Thursday, November 4, public transportation will allow up to 70% capacity as part of efforts to help PUV drivers recover lost income due to rising fuel costs and address increased demand from reopening businesses.

The decision was based on medical studies showing only 1.2 percent of COVID-19 clusters were linked to public transport.

Plastic barriers inside jeepneys are no longer required if physical distancing is observed.
