Metro Manila enters 3rd ECQ, only APORs allowed out

Metro Manila entered a third round of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) on August 6, set to last until August 20.

Only authorized persons outside residence (APORs), such as health and emergency front-line services, government officials, and essential personnel, are allowed to leave their homes during ECQ.

Motorists at checkpoints had to wait while police inspected documents; those without proper documentation were turned back.

Public transportation will continue to operate but only for APORs who must present valid identification or IATF-issued transport marshals' cards.
