Dominguez: Economy to grow in Q2

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez expects the Philippine economy to start growing again in the second quarter due to a reduction in COVID-19 cases and an increase in vaccine deliveries.

Dominguez noted that if overseas manufacturers deliver committed doses, there will be enough vaccines for about 70 million adults and 15 million teenagers once approved by the FDA.

The finance chief expressed hope that this would be the last surge of infections and that the pandemic should soon be contained.
