DOLE to fast-track Bayanihan 2 aid for over 2M displaced workers

DOLE assured quick processing of applications for cash aid under Bayanihan 2, especially for those left out in Bayanihan 1.

Over 2 million displaced formal and informal workers and OFWs will benefit from PHP13 billion allocated by DOLE under Bayanihan 2.

P5 billion of the total P13 billion budget will be used to provide one-time cash assistance to private-sector workers affected by the pandemic, benefiting nearly one million workers.

DOLE expects to start releasing funds next week for programs like TUPAD, emergency employment, and CAMP/AKAP to assist displaced workers.
