GenSan residents get PHP3K aid

Some 400 coastal residents and market vendors in General Santos City received financial assistance from the national government.

On Thursday, 300 residents affected by fires and storm surges last year each received PHP3,000 cash grants and food packs.

Earlier this week, about 100 market vendors impacted by the pandemic also received similar aid.

The beneficiaries are informal settlers who have struggled to meet basic needs even before the pandemic.
