DOLE offers over 216,000 jobs at Labor Day fairs

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced it will offer over 216,000 jobs at Labor Day job fairs across the country, including more than 4,492 overseas opportunities in Baguio City alone.

Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma encouraged both unemployed individuals and those seeking better employment conditions to attend the nationwide event scheduled from April 29 to May 2 in over 69 sites.

In Baguio City, DOLE will offer more than 6,500 job vacancies on May 1 at two locations: the Baguio Convention Center and SM City-Baguio mall, with local positions including nurses, laborers, farm workers, hotel workers, and seafarers.

The top ten jobs available include production division operators, jail officers, call center agents, customer service representatives, service crew, credit assurance inspectors, production operators, quality assurance production operators, cashiers, and production helpers.

DOLE Cordillera Administrative Region is urging local government units to partner with the Department of Social Welfare and Development in encouraging Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries to take advantage of the event.
