OWWA helps 4k-5k OFWs return home from Manila

Around 4,000 to 5,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who have completed their 14-day quarantine in Manila need to return home to Visayas and Mindanao.

OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac said the agency is coordinating with the transportation and interior departments to arrange 'mercy flights' for the stranded OFWs.

Most of these workers are from countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Italy which have strict lockdown measures in place.

The OWWA continues to provide assistance such as food, transport, and temporary shelters to the returning OFWs.
