DOH to conduct catch-up COVID-19 vaccinations for seniors

The DOH announced that two hospitals, the Metro Manila Center for Health Development and Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital, will conduct catch-up vaccinations for senior citizens aged 60 and above.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire emphasized the importance of vaccinating seniors alongside the general adult population and those with comorbidities in the pediatric age group.

Vergeire stressed that these vaccines are effective in preventing severe or critical infections, hospitalizations, and deaths.
