DOH sends medical supplies including N95 masks to Taal-affected regions

The Department of Health sent medical supplies including N95 masks to CALABARZON and the National Capital Region to assist residents affected by Taal Volcano's activity.

On Wednesday, DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III stated that they have deployed drugs, medicines like eye drops and asthma medication, surgical face masks, water purification tablets, and hygiene kits to the regions.

DOH personnel were dispatched to 139 evacuation centers and will continue conducting Rapid Health Assessments in affected municipalities.

Duque advised asthmatic individuals to wear N95 masks and others to use dust or surgical masks to prevent respiratory illnesses due to ashfall.
