DOH requests FDA approval for fourth dose, booster shots for minors

The DOH has requested the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to amend the emergency use authorization of COVID-19 vaccines to allow a fourth dose for priority groups and booster shots for individuals aged 12 to 17.

If the FDA approves the amendment, it will be forwarded to the Health Technology Assessment Council for evaluation.

Once evaluated, the DOH can draft guidelines for implementing these measures.
