DOH Reports 1,555 New COVID-19 Cases, Active Infections Rise to 38,315

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,555 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, September 27, raising the total active cases to 38,315.

This is a slight increase from Monday's tally and lower than the daily average infections recorded over the past week.

Metro Manila continues to lead in reported cases with 13,861 infections in the last two weeks, followed by Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) with 5,138 and Central Luzon with 2,819.

Total recoveries stand at 3,840,300 while fatalities have risen to 62,819.

The number of tests conducted on Sunday was only 11,706, which explains the lower number of new cases reported on Tuesday.
