DOH projects 289-611 daily COVID-19 cases by May 15

The DOH projects that daily COVID-19 infections in the Philippines could reach between 289 and 611 cases by May 15.

DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire stated these projections are based on current transmission rates, vaccination levels, and adherence to public health standards.

Vergeire noted that daily cases in Metro Manila may range from 30 to 122 cases during the same period.

However, she emphasized that these projections serve as guidance for planning pandemic responses rather than definitive predictions.
