Philippines ICU, ward beds at high risk

The occupancy rate of ICU beds and ward beds for COVID-19 patients remains at high risk across the Philippines.

As of Tuesday, September 7, 76% of the country's 4,200 ICU beds and 75% of Metro Manila's 1,400 ICU beds are occupied.

Nationally, around 74% of the 15,300 ward beds are being utilized while in Metro Manila it is 74% out of 4,200 beds.

Additionally, 58% of the country’s 3,300 mechanical ventilators and 64% of NCR's 1,200 ventilators are occupied.

Several hospitals have temporarily stopped accepting new COVID-19 patients due to full capacity in August.
