DOH: PH set for 'new normal' under Alert Level 1

The Philippines is preparing to enter a 'new normal' once Alert Level 1 is declared.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that under Alert Level 1, restrictions on public transport and establishments would be lifted while minimum health standards like mask-wearing and physical distancing will remain in place.

Vergeire added that the government aims to transition to an endemic state if case numbers continue to decrease.
