DOH: PH logs 693 new COVID-19 cases; active tally lowest in 6 weeks

The Philippines recorded 693 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the nationwide caseload to 4,158,584.

Active cases dropped to 9,005, the lowest in six weeks and marking the fourth straight day with fewer than 10,000 active cases.

One fatality was recorded after a ten-day pause; total deaths remain at 66,482 while recoveries increased to 4,083,097.

In the past two weeks, the National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases with 2,740, followed by Calabarzon and Central Luzon.
