DOH: No final agreement on anti-COVID vaccine allocation yet

The Philippines has yet to finalize an agreement on the allocation of anti-COVID-19 vaccines for its citizens, according to Health Undersecretary Rosario Vergeire.

The government's task force has approved funding for the country's participation in COVAX, a global initiative ensuring equal access to vaccines.

COVAX has gained support from over 150 countries, including the Philippines.

Despite engagement with COVAX, details on vaccine allocation per country are still pending.

Vergeire noted that while negotiations are ongoing, each participating country will be assured of vaccine doses for at least 20% of its population.
