Duterte optimistic PH's first COVID-19 vaccine from China

Duterte disclosed in his State of the Nation Address that he personally asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to prioritize the Philippines for the vaccine once it passes clinical trials.

Malacañang thanked China for its commitment to prioritize the Philippines' request for immediate access to a COVID-19 vaccine, with Wang Wenbin stating mutual cooperation and prioritization of Philippine needs upon successful development.
