DOH logs 225 new COVID-19 cases, active tally drops to 10,555

On Saturday, the DOH reported 225 new COVID-19 cases in the Philippines, bringing the active tally to 10,555.

This marks seven consecutive days with fewer than 300 daily infections.

The cumulative case count stands at 4,071,540, while recoveries increased to 3,995,305 and deaths rose to 65,680.

NCR had the highest number of cases in the past two weeks (1,401), followed by Calabarzon with 664, Central Luzon with 332, Cagayan Valley with 289, and Western Visayas with 267.

As of Friday, bed occupancy was at 18.8%, with 5,079 occupied beds out of a total of 21,909.
