DOH logs 287 new COVID cases; active tally drops to 11,031

The DOH reported 287 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total active cases to 11,031.

This is a decrease from Tuesday's count of 196 cases.

From January 9 to 15, an average of 419 daily infections were recorded, marking a 6% decline compared to the previous week.

The DOH also reported 2,934 new cases and 116 verified deaths for the period from January 9-15.

As of Sunday, January 15, ICU bed occupancy was at 17.2%, with 402 out of 2,340 beds occupied, while non-ICU bed utilization stood at 20%.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country is now at 4,071,013, with a death toll of 65,637.
