DOH logs 1,547 new COVID cases; active tally at 27K

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,547 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 2,818,511.

This marks the fifth consecutive day with fewer than 2,000 new cases and is the lowest daily case count since February 24.

Active cases decreased to 27,025, the lowest level since January 15, while recoveries increased by 2,601 to a total of 2,745,777.

The death toll rose to 45,709 with an additional 128 deaths reported.

Positivity rate remained at 4.1%, the lowest since January 24.
