Philippines records lowest COVID positivity rate since December

The Philippines recorded a COVID-19 positivity rate of 4%, meeting WHO benchmarks according to OCTA Research.

This is slightly higher than the DOH's reported rate of 3.2% on Tuesday, with 849 new infections.

It marks the lowest daily infection count since December 28, 2020.

The DOH also reported a positivity rate of 3.9% on Sunday, which is the lowest in 18 months.

This rate was based on tests conducted two days prior involving nearly 41,000 individuals, down from around 80,000 daily tests in September.
