DOH logs 145 new COVID-19 cases; active infections rise to 9,617

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 145 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, February 2, bringing the total active cases to 9,617.

In the past two weeks, the National Capital Region had the most cases with 688, followed by Calabarzon with 335, Western Visayas with 221, Davao Region with 208, and Central Luzon with 160.

Recoveries increased to 3,998,077 while the death toll rose to 65,810 after eight new fatalities were recorded.

The bed occupancy rate in the country stood at 17.9%, with 4,800 beds occupied and 22,022 vacant as of Tuesday, January 31.
