DOH: Discharged PUIs for Covid-19 now 336

The total number of discharged persons under investigation (PUIs) for possible infection of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) increased to 336 as of February 16.

On the same day, there were still 159 PUIs in the National Capital Region and other regions across the country.

The DOH reported that out of the total 498 PUIs, three have tested positive for the disease.

As of February 15, more than half or 330 of the PUIs had been discharged from health facilities with 154 admitted PUIs being monitored closely by the DOH.

On February 14, one PUI died due to a cardiovascular attack in Region 1 and was not related to Covid-19.

In Pangasinan, the first PUI tested negative for the virus after exhibiting flu-like symptoms following travel to Taiwan.

Additionally, on February 13, 15 suspected carriers of the disease were cleared in Eastern Visayas with only one confined PUI remaining.
