DOH: Evacuees with symptoms get priority testing

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire stated on Wednesday that only evacuees with symptoms will be prioritized for COVID-19 testing in evacuation centers.

Vergeire acknowledged the risk of increased transmission and emphasized the need for safety officers to monitor symptoms and isolate suspected cases immediately.

On Monday, Vergeire also stressed the importance of adhering to minimum health standards such as wearing masks, physical distancing, and frequent hand washing to prevent a surge in COVID-19 cases.
