DOH: All new Omicron cases in C. Visayas recovered

The Department of Health (DOH) reported that all 24 new Omicron cases in Central Visayas have recovered.

As of January 25, the region has a total of 46 Omicron cases with samples taken from December 25 to January 5.

In Eastern Visayas, there are 28 confirmed Omicron cases across three cities and eight towns, including Tacloban City, Catbalogan City, Ormoc City, and various municipalities in Samar and Eastern Samar provinces.

DOH regional epidemiologist Marc Steven Capungcol noted the possibility of Omicron being present in many areas but lacks laboratory confirmation for all regions.
