Teodoro urges Filipinos to contribute to nation-building during Araw ng Kagitingan

Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. urged Filipinos to contribute to nation-building on Wednesday, April 9, during the 83rd Araw ng Kagitingan commemoration.

Teodoro honored Filipino war veterans and soldiers for their bravery and sacrifice, emphasizing that their heroism remains a powerful reminder of patriotism.

President Ferdinand Marcos led the official observance with a wreath-laying ceremony at Mount Samat National Shrine in Bataan.

The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) organized various events from April 5 to 11 as part of the Philippine Veterans Week, including tributes and historical exhibits honoring World War II heroes.

Teodoro called on all Filipinos to draw strength from the legacy of bravery and heroism exemplified by Filipino veterans in these uncertain times, urging them to stand united in purpose and resolve.
