DILG, PNP deploy forces to boost Undas security

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) urged the public to be vigilant against criminals and scammers during Undas this weekend.

Secretary Jonvic Remulla called on local government units (LGUs) to deploy traffic enforcers, barangay tanod, medical personnel, and other force multipliers in cemeteries, memorial parks, and churches.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) will deploy over 27,000 police officers nationwide to heighten security and provide assistance.

DILG reminded the public to observe proper protocols at these locations, including prohibitions on alcohol consumption, gambling, and disturbances.

Regional PNP directors have been given discretion to increase deployments based on local security situations.
