PNP drills into KOJC compound, finds passageways and explosives

The Philippine National Police (PNP) began drilling at a suspected bunker inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City on Tuesday, discovering intricate passageways and explosives during their search.

According to KOJC's chief legal counsel Israelito Torreon, PNP started drilling near the cathedral around 4 a.m. Tuesday, but he was unaware of any alleged bunker within the 30-hectare property.

During the ongoing search, police found at least 42 buildings and secret passageways leading to Pastor Apollo Quiboloy's room, as well as Molotov bombs and bolos on the roof deck.

The DILG secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. presented videos showing complex structural designs of buildings inside the compound and emphasized that police are coordinating with local authorities to determine if all rooms were declared in construction plans.

Torreon questioned the legality of the continued presence of law enforcement inside the KOJC compound, while PRO-11 spokesperson Maj. Catherine Dela Rey stated they are confident Quiboloy is within the compound and will not destroy any structures.
