DILG proposes removing face shield mandate

The DILG will propose to the IATF the removal of the policy on mandatory use of face shields.

Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said the recommendation is based on discussions with Secretary Eduardo Año and support from other local government units like Quezon City.

IATF members are considering lifting the requirement due to declining COVID-19 cases, but a final decision has not been made yet.
