Over 26K contact tracers hired, deployed across PH

Over 26,872 contact tracers have already been hired and deployed by the DILG across various provinces.

The deployment is part of efforts to prevent further transmission of COVID-19 as mandated under Bayanihan 2.

In the Cordillera Administrative Region, 571 newly-hired contact tracers were trained and deployed, with 176 receiving face-to-face training and 395 via virtual teleconference.

In Soccsksargen, DILG deployed 1,501 contact tracers to assist in tracking COVID-19 cases, with South Cotabato receiving the highest number at 480.
