DILG hires 35K contact tracers; recruitment ends next week

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has hired a total of 35,345 people as contact tracers so far, with recruitment expected to end next week.

Of those hired, 27,879 have been trained and deployed in various local government units across the country.

Additionally, 65,000 people have applied for the positions, of whom 57,743 have been processed.

The DILG aims to hire an additional 20,000 contact tracers within the next seven to ten days to meet its target of 50,000 total hires.
