Abalos confirms possible surrender of Wesley Guo

Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos confirmed on Saturday that authorities are working on the possible surrender of Wesley Guo, brother of dismissed Bamban town Mayor Alice Guo.

Abalos stated during a news forum in Quezon City that the information was initially confidential but was disclosed by Wesley's legal counsel Stephen David who told reporters on Friday that his client had expressed an intention to surrender.

The DILG chief declined to provide further details, citing an ongoing process involving his department, the Philippine National Police (PNP), and other agencies.

Wesley is identified as the boyfriend of Cassandra Li Ong, an incorporator of Whirlwind Corporation which leased land to Lucky South 99, a raided POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga last June.

He has a pending arrest order from the Senate for refusing to appear before the committee on women's hearing on July 10.
