DFA suspends consular services in Batangas, NCR, Calabarzon, Central Luzon

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) suspended consular services on January 14 in Batangas due to the Taal Volcano eruption.

Consular offices in Lipa, Batangas will remain closed until further notice as President Rodrigo Duterte ordered a suspension of work in government offices in the province.

Applicants with confirmed appointments affected by the closure will be accommodated during regular office hours from January 14 to February 14.

The DFA also suspended consular services in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon on January 13 due to ashfall and volcanic activity.

Consular services in these areas will resume operations once the situation stabilizes.
