Filipinos abroad with COVID-19 rise to 2,233; recoveries near 30%

As of Tuesday, May 12, the number of overseas Filipinos with confirmed COVID-19 cases increased to 2,233, with 38 new infections and one additional death.

The total recoveries rose to 669 after 25 more patients recovered, representing nearly 30% of all confirmed cases.

Active cases stand at 1,303 across various regions including Asia-Pacific (393), Europe (668), and the Middle East (620).

The death toll is now 261 with fatalities distributed as follows: Asia-Pacific (2), Europe (79), Middle East/Africa (38), and Americas (142).
