PNP reports 179 confirmed COVID-19 cases among personnel

As of Thursday, May 14, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported 179 confirmed COVID-19 cases among its personnel, with 39 new infections recorded since Wednesday.

Of these cases, 57 have recovered and four have died, while 118 active cases are receiving medical care; 91 are in quarantine facilities, six are hospitalized, and 21 are under home quarantine.

The PNP expects the number of positive cases to increase due to pending confirmatory test results, with 638 personnel categorized as probable cases and 390 as suspect cases.
