DepEd issues health directives for NSPC, NFOT

The Department of Education (DepEd) has issued health directives for participants and attendees of the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) and National Festival of Talents (NFOT), emphasizing safety precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

DepEd instructed proper hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, safe food practices, and improving airflow in venues.

The agency is awaiting a definitive advisory from the Department of Health (DOH)-Inter-Agency Task Force on Monday before issuing further responses.

Education Secretary Leonor Briones has communicated with DOH for health guidelines regarding NSPC and NFOT activities scheduled until March 15.
