De La Salle beats Far Eastern in UAAP basketball

Defending champion De La Salle University basketball team bounced back with a 68-62 victory over Far Eastern University in the UAAP Season 87 men's tournament on Wednesday, following their first defeat to the University of the East last Sunday.

Coach Topex Robinson emphasized that losing helped ground his team after getting used to winning, noting it cleansed the pressure of not losing and taught them valuable lessons for future games.

De La Salle now has a 4-1 win-loss record, trailing only the University of the Philippines (4-0) in the standings.

Far Eastern University continues to struggle with their fifth straight loss despite Mo Konateh's double-double performance with 25 rebounds and 12 points.

Key players Mike Phillips and Kevin Quiambao each recorded a double-double, contributing significantly to De La Salle's comeback victory.
