Covid Cases in Davao Oriental: Twelve Recovered, Two New Cases Reported

Twelve individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 in Davao Oriental last week, including eight OFWs and four with travel history to Maguindanao, have recovered.

Dr. Reden Bersaldo of the Provincial Task Force on Covid-19 confirmed that all close contacts, including health workers and drivers, also tested negative.

Two new cases were reported: a 36-year-old OFW from Caraga and a 54-year-old locally stranded individual from Mati City who arrived from Tarlac.

A Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center (DOPMC) doctor who initially tested positive for COVID-19 later received a negative result on his repeat test, prompting extensive contact tracing involving 58 hospital staff members.
