CSB wins SSL bronze over Letran in five-set thriller

College of Saint Benilde secured the bronze medal in the 2024 Shakey's Super League (SSL) National Invitationals after a five-set victory over Letran on Tuesday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Wewe Estoque led CSB with 18 points, including crucial finishes in the fourth and fifth sets, while Rhea Mae Densing contributed a team-high of 20 kills and four blocks.

CSB overcame a 1-2 set deficit to clinch the series win with scores of 23-25, 25-14, 19-25, 25-20, and 17-15 in two hours and ten minutes.

In the decisive fifth set, Estoque scored five points, including two consecutive aces that helped CSB take a crucial lead before sealing the match with an ace.

The Lady Blazers' victory completes their sweep of Letran in the best-of-three series for third place.
