St. Benilde's women's volleyball team extends winning streak to 37 matches

College of St. Benilde's women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to 37 matches and moved closer to an outright finals berth after defeating Perpetual Help in the NCAA Season 99 tournament on Wednesday.

The Lady Blazers won the match 25-14, 25-18, 25-7, with Michelle Gamit leading the way with 13 points from 12 kills.

With this victory, St. Benilde maintains a perfect record in the elimination round and is on track to clinch first place if they defeat Lyceum of the Philippines (LPU) this Sunday.

Coach Jerry Yee emphasized giving playing time to younger players as CSB prepares for the transition period following the graduation of key players like Cloanne Mondonedo, Michele Gamit, Jade Gentapa, and Gayle Pascual next year.
