CSB wins 7th game in NCAA Season 100, struggles late

College of St. Benilde (CSB) secured their seventh victory against two losses in the NCAA Season 100 with a strong first-half performance, defeating Jose Rizal University (JRU) 84-69 on Tuesday.

Despite leading by as many as 26 points late in the second quarter, CSB struggled in the fourth quarter, allowing JRU to mount a comeback attempt.

Coach Charles Tiu expressed satisfaction with his team's performance but acknowledged that they could have finished stronger and remained unbeaten in the first round.

Jhomel Ancheta led CSB with 17 points, compensating for Tony Ynot's absence due to an ankle sprain.

Joshua Guiab scored a career-high 24 points for JRU, but it was not enough to prevent his team from falling to a 3-6 record.
