San Beda, Saint Benilde face Mapua, Letran

Mapua University and Saint Benilde are set to face defending champions San Beda University and Jose Rizal University, respectively, in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Tuesday.

The Cardinals and Blazers are currently tied for first place with a record of 6-2, but after the first round, San Beda took the No. 2 spot while Saint Benilde leads with a 7-2 win-loss record.

San Beda has similar records to Mapua University and Colegio de San Juan de Letran at 6-3, but holds second place following tiebreakers.

Saint Benilde's coach Charles Tiu expressed concern about their two losses against Arellano and Letran, while San Beda mentor Yuri Escueta acknowledged the need for further improvement in their performance.

The next round of games is set to start on Friday with teams aiming to strengthen their semifinal bids.
