Western Visayas logs 3,524 recoveries, 6,632 total COVID-19 cases

As of Wednesday, Western Visayas logged 3,524 recoveries from COVID-19 with 273 new recoveries reported by DOH.

Iloilo City had the highest number of recoveries with 238 cases followed by Iloilo province with 24 and Bacolod City with six.

Active cases in Western Visayas increased to 3,013 due to 250 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported out of 1,581 test results.

The region's total cumulative confirmed cases reached 6,632 as of Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the DOH reported that close to 50% of Western Visayas' cases have recovered with 3,034 total recoveries and 199 new confirmed cases.

Negros Occidental had the highest number of new positive cases on Tuesday with 99 followed by Bacolod City with 58 and Iloilo City with 22.
