NCR COVID death rate drops to 0.78%

The case fatality ratio (CFR) for COVID-19 in Metro Manila has decreased significantly, dropping from 1.06% in January-March to 0.78% in June-July.

In comparison, the CFR was 2.32% in 2020.

The decrease is observed across age groups: senior citizens (60+ years) saw a reduction from 5.78% to 4.29%, those aged 50-59 dropped from 1.61% to 1.21%, and the 40-49 age group experienced a 60% decrease from 0.62% to 0.37%.
