Filipinos abroad with COVID-19 now at 13,018

As of Friday, January 8, the number of Filipinos abroad who tested positive for COVID-19 increased to 13,018 with one new infection.

Total recoveries remained at 8,460 and fatalities stayed at 934 while 3,623 patients were still undergoing treatment.

In Asia and the Pacific region, there are 2,710 cases with 796 patients recovering and 21 deaths. In the Middle East or Africa, a total of 7,712 cases were recorded with 4,690 recoveries and 601 fatalities.

Europe reported 1,809 cases including 340 patients undergoing treatment, 1,351 recoveries, and 118 deaths. The Americas have the lowest number of cases at 787 with 526 recoveries and 194 deaths.
