Negros Oriental councilor dies from COVID-19

A 64-year-old councilor from Negros Oriental who tested positive for COVID-19 died on Sunday, March 15.

Patient 39, an immuno-compromised individual due to a kidney transplant, passed away at Silliman University Medical Center.

The councilor had traveled to Manila for the Philippine Councilors League convention and visited Greenhills in San Juan before returning to Dumaguete City on March 1.

He showed symptoms of diarrhea and body malaise on March 3 and was admitted to a hospital on March 6, where his test results confirmed COVID-19 on March 11.
