COVAX to replace 3.6M expired COVID-19 vax doses

About 3.6 million coronavirus vaccine doses donated to the Philippines under COVAX have expired and will be replaced at no cost.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said these expired vaccines account for 1.5% of the country’s total vaccine stock, which currently stands at around 98-100 million doses.

Dr. Ted Herbosa assured that despite the expired doses, the Philippines still has a substantial supply of about 90 million vaccine doses left.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. noted that COVAX has renewed its commitment to provide additional vaccines for the country.
