Hospitals send coronavirus patients home due to capacity limits

As hospitals across Metro Manila reach capacity, at least 14 coronavirus-positive patients in Quezon City are self-isolating at home.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said that some hospitals are now asking positive patients to stay home and self-quarantine instead of admitting them.

Of the 14 cases, three live in urban poor communities where there is a higher risk of spreading the virus due to crowded living conditions.

Belmonte noted that two of these patients were sent home from hospitals in Manila and Taguig.
